7 Protips to Max Out ISTELive24

Traveling to ISTELive24 in Denver on June 23–26? Maximize your conference experience with these suggested sessions, Expo Hall advice, and more. 👍

As we prepare for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTELive) conference in Denver, June 23-26, we want to maximize every attendee's experience. Last year's ISTELive drew over 17,700 participants! Whether you're a veteran of EdTech conferences or a newbie, these protips aim to elevate your ISTELive experience a mile high (get it?). 🏔️

1. Plan Ahead

ISTELive24 will be stacked with hundreds of sessions, keynotes, and networking events. Review the conference programming and prioritize the sessions most relevant to your needs. Some sessions require pre-registration, so secure your spot early! Here are a few Quizizz-friendly events we hope you'll consider 😉:

‍2. Pack This Must-Have Item

We asked our Quizizz ISTE veterans and rookies to share a must-have item that they're packing for the conference. Here's what our team had to say:

Kyle: "Hoodie. It’s always cold in the conference halls."

Jackson: "Comfortable shoes."

Tyde: "My Quizizz socks!"

Melissa: "My blazers! I love pairing them with my sweet Quizizz shirts!"

Alana: "Water bottle."

Jackie: "Protein bars."

3. Go See the City

Experience ISTELive outside of the convention center. Take advantage of pre-conference activities, including tours and museum visits. It's a great way to build your network while learning about Denver. 🏙️

4. Social Media is Your Friend

Follow the official conference hashtag (#ISTELive) and engage in online conversations across all social media platforms. This will give you real-time updates on events, connect you with other attendees, and amplify your voice in the EdTech community. You can even follow @quizizz on Twitter/X or IG to see what we're up to. 💜

5. Attend Virtual Sessions

ISTELive 24 offers wonderful virtual content to complement the in-person experience. Check out these sessions if you need a break from the Expo Hall and the in-person events. If you're #notatISTE, keep this option in mind too! 👍

‍6. Get Your Questions Ready for Edtech Companies

Prepare some questions to ask EdTech companies at the Expo Hall. Consider these:

  • How do you collect and respond to educator feedback?
  • What specific problem does your product solve?
  • Can you give a quick "school corridor" pitch of your product?
  • What kind of support and training do you provide for educators implementing your tool?‍
7. Visit Quizizz Booth #948

Finally, please visit Quizizz Booth #948! As a teaching platform built by educators for educators, we're thrilled to meet you face-to-face and hear about your experiences. Did we mention there's free swag? 🎉
