What student data does Quizizz collect?

Accounts are not a prerequisite to using Quizizz, but are required to access some features and to save progress over time. If a student account is created, saved information will include things like an email address, a parent or guardian email address (in limited cases), first name, and last name.

How is my data shared? Does Quizizz ever sell user data?

Data is never sold or rented to third parties. Quizizz only shares your personal information when it is necessary to offer the service, comply with law, or with your permission. For example, it may be shared with limited third-party services essential for Quizizz's operation, but these services can't use your information for other purposes. How long is my data retained?

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. In most cases, we delete user accounts if they have been inactive for more than twelve months. If you have an account, you can update or delete it any time at quizizz.com/settings

Is my data encrypted?

Yes, we use industry-standard encryption to protect your data both in transit and at rest. This ensures that your personal information remains secure and private.

How does Quizizz ensure accessibility compliance?

Quizizz is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We follow the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) guidelines, which document our compliance with accessibility standards such as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). How can I manage my data?

You have the right to delete, access, update, correct errors in, and export for transfer any of your personal information. You may delete your account or update your information at any time by visiting quizizz.com/settings

How does Quizizz protect student data?

Can parents and guardians manage their child's data on Quizizz?

Parents and guardians can log in to their child’s account and have the right to delete or update their child’s information at any time by visiting quizizz.com/settings

Does Quizizz AI interact with student data?

Quizizz AI solely uses the inputs teachers provide to generate content for your lessons and quizzes. Just like the rest of Quizizz, we keep your and your students' personal data untouched. OpenAI does not use any of your personal data for training its models. We retain the content you input solely to generate quizzes and provide you with the best possible results. Additionally, Quizizz AI checks for copyrights before using publicly available material.

How do I generate quiz questions from a document or file?

If you have pre-existing content on a PDF, PPT, or document, upload it to the Quizizz AI Create section. The AI question generator will generate questions based on your uploaded files! Please note that currently, Quizizz AI only reads the first ten pages of your document and will generate relevant questions based on that!

How do I generate quiz questions from a url or a YouTube link?

The AI quiz generator can generate relevant questions from any publicly accessible weblink! YouTube links that are public and that have transcripts can also be used to generate questions and is in fact, one of our most loved features!

When should I use Quizizz AI Enhance?

Quizizz AI Enhance can be used in a few different ways!

After you've generated a quiz using Quizizz AI, you can use Quizizz AI Enhance on your generated questions. Either enhance individually or enhance entire AI-generated quizzes. You can convert your multiple-choice questions to other types like fill-in-the-blank or drag-and-drop questions!
Refreshing your old quizzes: If you're the kind that already has a lot of Quizzes saved in their library, don't waste time updating them for the new school year or for new assessments. Just use Quizizz AI Enhance to refresh them as needed! Automatically personalize your quizzes with student names, add themes to them to fit in with the theme of your classroom, and add answer explanations wherever needed!
Browsing the Quizizz Library: When you find a quiz that seems like it might fit what you're looking for but isn't yet perfect for your classroom and diverse student needs, use Quizizz AI Enhance to customize it! Translate it for ESL students, change the difficulty level, add more challenging questions or simplify them to create assessments with differentiation, convert it to real-world scenarios to engage students, or create different versions of your quiz all in a few seconds!

Our best advice is to experiment with Quizizz AI to test and discover how it can support you and your students best. Here are some general tips to keep in mind, too:

Be as clear and concise as possible with prompts and uploaded content
Review everything that is suggested, since Quizizz AI is still in beta
Do not use Quizizz AI to generate harmful content, infringe any third party rights, or defame anyone

Why isn’t the AI working on my Quiz, prompt, document, url etc.?

If you're experiencing hiccups with Quizizz AI, there could be a couple of reasons:

Beta Phase: Quizizz AI is in its beta stage, which means it's still learning and evolving. Some features might be gradually rolling out.
Complex Content: AI works best with clear and concise inputs. If your content is overly complex, it might need some simplification for AI to work its magic.
Technical Glitch: Sometimes, technology has its quirks. Refresh the page, clear your cache, or try another browser to see if that solves the issue.
Unsupported Elements: AI might not yet support all content types. Make sure your content aligns with supported formats.
