“My ELL students really enjoy using Quizizz and cheer when they see it on the board at the beginning of class! [.green-bold]We love the visuals, context with vocabulary, self-paced speed, repetition, and native language translation support.[.green-bold]”

Jessica Saunders

ELL Teacher (Ohio)

“All of my students are English learners who recently arrived in the United States from a variety of countries including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Venezuela, Vietnam, and more. [.blue-bold]My students experience success first-hand because we use Quizizz! The Read Aloud and Insert an Image features truly are game-changers for my newcomers! I guarantee you that my students' English language development would not be the same if we did not use Quizizz regularly.[.blue-bold]”

Kara Cowdrick, Ph.D.

Elementary ESOL Teacher (Georgia)

“The kids really have fun with the Quizizz memes, and they love the new music choices that have been added! [.yellow-bold]My English language learners appreciate that I can set the time for each question longer so they have a chance to process what they are reading, but it does not slow down my faster students from being competitive![.yellow-bold] Great product!”

Susan Jankowski

7th Grade Teacher (North Carolina)

“English learners need daily doses of spelling, grammar and literature, so [.yellow-bold]one way I use Quizizz is for bell ringers. These short, game-like assessments get students to remember content and apply their learning[.yellow-bold]. They also provide the right amount of adrenaline to start class. I also really like the Read Aloud feature. It is perfect for English learners! Whenever we use Quizizz, individually or in teams, I can see students engaging in meaningful discussions, and putting in so much effort.”

Ana Selby

Middle School ELL Teacher (Tennessee)

“[.green-bold]Not only does Quizizz reinforce student learning, but it frames learning in a fun, game-centered way.[.green-bold] Being able to repeat assignments also helps my ELL students to familiarize themselves with language as well as concepts.”

Deserie Olguin

Junior High/High School Science Teacher (Kansas)

“From the very first time I used Quizizz with my English language learners, I could see how well they were doing. Quizizz not only allows them to repeat the activity, but also compete and become motivated in different ways. [.purple-bold]Quizizz works well with translating the materials[.purple-bold], and I love how greatly the images help my anatomy students practice identifying certain parts of the human body.”

Nicholas Naugle

High School Science Teacher (Pennsylvania)

“Quizizz gives students an alternate way to practice the material we are learning, and to do assessments with different questions types on the computer. [.purple-bold]Students enjoy working on Quizizz and are more compelled to keep practicing this way.[.purple-bold] As the teacher, Quizizz gives me a chance to differentiate and work with students that need extra assistance, and let others work independently. I use the data for remediation and to see which students need help in real-time.”

Araceli Gallegos

ESOL Math Teacher and ESOL Co-Chair (Georgia)

“Along with all the other ways my colleagues and I use Quizizz, we also find the platform helpful for supporting our English language learners. Quizizz enables us to [.red-bold]make accommodations and provide comprehensible input[.red-bold].”

Elizabeth Caldwell

Middle School Science Teacher (Indiana)

"[.yellow-bold]Quizizz motivates my students and engages them to participate[.yellow-bold]. As they compete, they are willing to make the best effort possible to get the right answer. Furthermore, I can review the answer and address any gaps to those students not understanding the lesson or terms. The accuracy level gives me a solid idea how the class is doing. As a result, I can re-teach the lesson if necessary. All my students feel encouraged to try it again.”

Carlos Meza

Middle School ESOL Teacher (Florida)

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
