"Teachers who were ascertained to exhibit a passion for their work would be asked to reflect on their classroom pedagogic practices in teaching. To apply the concept of triangulation, a questionnaire regarding the evaluation of learning would also be administered to 34 students in each school. Thus, an aggregate of 204 students from six different schools would also participate in this study. The obtained results would be compared to the outcomes of three randomly selected teachers who exhibited extremely low scores in the category of passion category to determine if any significant differences could be found between the two groups. Further, the teachers would be interviewed to discern factors that influenced their passion for teaching."

"Similarly, there is a large empirical literature on the effect of democracy on economic growth. In one of the early empirical contributions to this literature, Barro (1996) finds that the overall effects of democracy on growth are weakly negative using repeated cross-sections for 84 countries, with growth rates of GDP per capita averaged over 1965–75, 1975–85 and 1985–90. A similar finding is obtained by Tavares and Wacziarg (2001), also with cross-sectional data. On the other hand, Rodrik and Wacziarg (2005), Persson and Tabellini (2007) and Papaioannou and Siourounis (2008) find a positive effect using panel data. More recently, Acemoglu et al. (2014) find a sizeable and robust effect of democracy on economic growth using annual panel data and Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) methods for 175 countries for 1960–2010."

"The survey showed that 21.3% of respondents answered “definitely yes” or “probably yes” to the statement “I now devote more time than before to prayer and other religious practices”. Most respondents (54.0%) answered “definitely no” or “probably no” to this question. The variable which differentiated most strongly between the people providing these two types of answers was religiosity, as measured by previous frequency of participation in religious practices. Almost two-thirds (61.3%) of people who said they had usually practiced more than once a week before the pandemic said they had increased their religious commitment during the pandemic, and, more interestingly, an increase in commitment was also observed among 15.9% of people previously participating in religious ceremonies only once every few years, and among 7.4% of those not previously practicing at all."

"The present research aims to help develop students’ writing skills and literary appreciation by applying a model based on the reader-response strategy and visual symbols. Specifically, it comparatively examines acceptability, impact, strengths, and shortcomings of the Personal Family literacy learning model in promoting students’ writing skills. The research adopts a quantitative approach to a quasi-experiment design. To analyze students' writing, a qualitative approach was also used. It was concluded, among others, that the Personal Family literacy learning model was significantly conducive to the promotion of students' writing skills, as reflected in the considerable improvement in the experimental class. As for its limitations, it was observed that a great deal of time was required, as students needed to respond to the texts and situations both verbally and nonverbally, and the guided questions, though they facilitated student responses, needed time of their own. Overall, the model of Personal Family proved to 74 make a significant and positive difference in students' writing skills in the experimental class and had a meaningful impact on the development of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects."
