Last holiday I went to Paris. I visited museums and sat in public gardens. A friendly waiter taught me a few words of French. Then he lent me a book. I read a few lines, but I did not understand a word. Every day, I thought about postcards. My holidays passed quickly, but I did not send any cards to my friends. On the last day I made a big decision, I got up early and bought thirty seven cards. I spent the whole day in my room, but I did not write a single card!

We saw some beautiful paintings. We had a guide who explained everything to us. I liked all the art, but Ryan didn’t like the modern art very much. I bought copies of two paintings. I’m going to put them on the wall of my bedroom.
At one o’clock, we were hungry so we had lunch at the museum cafeteria. After lunch, we took a walk in the park near the museum. We went home at five o’clock. We were very tired, but we had a good time. On Sunday we stayed home and studied.

There are three major sanctuaries, the Brahmana, Syiwa and Wisnu sanctuaries. They are truly stunning. We went by just Brahmana and Syiwa sanctuaries, on the grounds that Wisnu sanctuary is being remodeled. On Saturday morning we went to Yogya Kraton. We spent around two hours there. We were fortunate on the grounds that we were driven by a brilliant and amicable aide. At that point we proceeded with our adventure to Borobudur. I went to the parking area. I saw his motorcycle was there but I couldn’t find him. I waited for him for a few moments then finally I gave up and decided to go home.

My family and I live in a big city. So when my uncle invited me to spend the holiday in his village I felt very excited.
I left the city by bus in the late afternoon and arrived at the village in the morning. My uncle took me to his house by his jeep. The location of his house is in the deep village near the forest. Finally, after a long journey I met my aunt and my cousin.
After taking a rest for a while, my cousin took me to the farm well to have a bath. I bathed in the open air for the first time. It was strange but fun. It was a hot day. I enjoyed the cold water very much. Then we went to the mango orchard. There I plucked mangoes with my own hands. After that we took lunch. It was a very simple meal of rice, fish, bean cake and vegetables but it was very delicious. In the afternoon, I and my cousin visited the farm. My uncle was watering the crops. I helped him by milking the cow. It was the first time in my life I do it so it was very awkward at first, but then my cousin taught me to do it. It was fun actually.
I spent the night in the village for fifteen days doing many exciting things with my cousin. When I returned home, many people came to see me off. I was very impressed by the simple living of the village people.
