Use the side of the fork and your fingers to rip off a piece of meat

Cut the meat with your right hand; hold the fork in your left hand

Use the fork to hold the meat in place, after cutting the meat use the knife to pick it up

Answer them right away, even with the food still in your mouth

Ignore the question

Hold up your index finger to indicate "wait a minute" and once you are done chewing/swallowing, then answer the question

politely wait until everyone is done and ask to be excused

jump up and run away from the table

play with your uneaten food

tell others to hurry up and finish
