Corporal Williams and Corporal Ellis befriend an elderly white man aboard a train during World War II.  The two soldiers find themselves dining in the man's private compartment.  The man tells the soldiers of his own son, who is fighting in North Africa.  During breakfast Corporal Williams says that this is the first time he has dined with a white man.  He then thanks the elderly man for his kindness.
