A preconceived judgement toward a person because of their identity. It also means beliefs without knowledge of the facts.

A fixed, commonly held notion or image of a person or group, based on oversimplification of some observed or imagined traits or behaviour or appearance.

The actual behaviour toward another group. It involves differential treatment and exclusion based on one’s socially constructed identity. Or restricting members of one group from opportunities that are available to other groups. Implicit in this term is the existence of “Power”, i.e. the power to deny, withhold and treat differently.
